Fire Watch / Hot Works/ Incipient Fire Training (4 hours)
                            
This course is for any personnel responsible for hot work or Fire Watch duties. Through class presentation and hands on use of a fire extinguisher, the student will understand what is necessary to extinguish a fire.

Course Objective:
Participant will be able to:

• Identify the four elements of a fire
• Name the NFPA different classes of fire
• Understand how to use and operate the correct type of portable fire extinguisher for the type of fire to be extinguished,
• Discuss the use of hot work permit.
• Understand fire watch duties, site evaluation, fire prevention, and incipient fire fighting techniques.

The participant will be required to pass a written exam and demonstrate competency in using a portable fire extinguisher.
